Mission Statement
The purpose of the First United Methodist Church Library shall be:
To provide books and materials that will promote a better understanding of our Christian heritage.
To encourage growth in Christian faith and spiritual living.
To provide wholesome literature and audio/video materials for entertainment and learning.
Library Hours:
Sunday Noon – 12:30pm
The First United Methodist Church Library provides a collection of books (including large-print books), CDs, DVDs, and magazines.
The book collection includes biographies, fiction, and non-fiction with topics as diverse as cooking, spiritual growth, prayer, devotions, witnessing, theology, history, Christian living, child-rearing, biblical research, various Bible translations, and more. A computer is available for browsing the internet or searching the online card catalog.
The main library is located in the Family Ministries Center.
The Children’s Library (The Library Den) is located on the second floor of the education wing of the main church building and is open 9:30am – 10:45am Sunday mornings.

How to check out books and materials
- Sign your name on the card that is in a book or on a CD or DVD.
- Place the card in the small card-box on the telephone table.
- Return items in a timely fashion (1 week for movies and 1-3 weeks for other materials).
Do you have an interest in helping in the church library? Our “Friends of the Library” group take turns staffing the main library after church each week. We can always use help in assisting others check out books, find research information or just keeping our library looking clean and organized.
