Confessions of a Middle-Aged Drama King

I am truly blessed and privileged to be the Program Council Director in the very church I grew up in. I have no training whatsoever in drama but have found inspiration can go a long way. I discovered my inspiration was my mother, Norma Jean Bay. She sent for me one day when she was listening to the Bible on cassette tape. You see, her eyes could no longer focus to read. She was dying from lung cancer at the age of 59. My mother’s one regret in life was that she was not involved in our church. Her last request of me just before she died was very simple: “Stay in Church.”

Her request has inspired me for many years.
