A nursery is provided during the Sunday School hour for newborns through three years of age. This is structured as a Sunday School class to provide a foundation for when it is time to move up to the next age level. This class meets in the nursery room which is found on the first floor of the education wing.
Children's Sunday School classes meet on the second floor of the education wing and include those 3 years of age through 5th grade. Deep Blue includes adventure, exciting stories, science experiments, arts and crafts, animated video storytelling for today’s media-savvy kids, and active games—all combined into a living-faith experience that will help children discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ today.
The youth classes consist of the Middle School class (6th - 8th grades) and the High School class (9th - 12th grades). These classes meet on the third floor of the education wing. Age appropriate topical/Bible studies make up the curriculum for these classes. The two classes join together occasionally for breakfast or special studies. Growing together in faith helps the youth meet the challenges in everyday life.
Young Adult Class
The Young Adult Class has approximately 15 members, ages 18 and up. Some members are students who are right out of high school, some members are married professionals with children. Curriculum is chosen to encourage discussions about faith in an ever-changing world. The class is completing Ask: Faith Questions in a Skeptical Age and will continue with the video series Chuck Knows Church. The group loves to laugh and connect with each other through lively discussion.
Exploring Faith Class
The Exploring Faith class is a group of adults ranging from college graduate students (when in town) to retired professionals. We are adults with preschool children and grandchildren. The first 15 minutes of the class is spent "visiting" either in the classroom or the office wing lobby where coffee, tea and sometimes morning snacks are available. The class utilizes videos to facilitate discussion on a variety of subjects directed toward strengthening our faith and discipleship. The class meets in the office wing conference room (Etta Belcher Room) where everyone is welcome to join the discussion.
The Renewal Class studies a variety of topics within our Christian journey, ranging from Methodist doctrines to a better understanding of God's grace and love. The class meets in Room #3 at the end of the hall in the Family Ministries Center. Come early and fellowship with a cup of coffee in Schell Hall.
Led by David Graham, the Ambassadors class uses the David C. Cook adult curriculum. They meet in the Parlor which is located just off of the sanctuary in the Education Wing. They are a small group at present, but would welcome more.
Adult Sunday School Class
The Adult Sunday School class utilizes the David C. Cook Adult Curriculum and is lead by Joanna Thompson. They meet in the Holiday classroom located off the hallway between the education and office wings. All are welcome!
