The mission of the United Methodist Church is to “make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” In an effort to better provide good soil for the growth of discipleship in the lives of all those touched by First UMC, Princeton, we are launching an intentional discipleship program. This program will help every person become “Living Proof of a Loving God” regardless of age or length of involvement in Christianity.
“Living Proof” launched with a fellowship feast in preparation for Ash Wednesday on Tuesday March 5th. Our Children’s Fellowship Time participants shared their program, showing all of us part of what it means to be a disciple. Members of the “Living Proof” launch team helped everyone take a private, personal survey about where they are on the discipleship journey. The survey is designed to help us reflect on where we’ve been and where we can go next in becoming “Living Proof of a Loving God.”
In the coming weeks, we will be providing more information on how we can become more involved in the life of the church and move forward in our discipleship journey. Please be in prayer as we learn how we can all become Living Proof of a Loving God.
